With all the trappings of modern life, it’s no wonder that many of us try our best to live a simpler life. If you’re like me, your pursuit of simple takes you into some strange places. This video popped up in my news feed a little while ago, and I couldn’t help but admire the simplicity in the preparation. I wouldn’t recommend trying this at home, but it certainly is entertaining to watch.
If you’re curious about the chunk of meat they’re cooking in the video, it’s called the catfish tenderloin. Because of its size, most people look right past it, but, as you can see in the video, it can be a delicacy if cooked right. A simple recipe can be found here, although we recommend bumping up the internal temperature to a minimum of 145 degrees.
As always, you can stop by our retail shop to pick up a tenderloin to try. For the rest of January, we will be offering tenderloins for a discounted price of $5.25 a pound (these guys average about a pound or less). If you want order one ahead either to be shipped to your door or for easy pick up, simply go here.
If you have any success cooking up one of our delicious tenderloins, be sure to share your results on our Facebook page.
