Indiana Boar Goat Classic Spring Conference this Saturday, April 15

One of our meat goat suppliers, Brenda Lightner, is the president of the Indiana Boar Goat Classic (IBGC), a volunteer organization of boer goat and meat goat enthusiasts, exhibitors and producers who have come together to serve, support, and advance the boer goat and meat goat industry in Indiana, as well as promote and support the youth interested in our industry throughout the state.

IBGC is hosting their 2017 Spring Conference at the Jasper County Fairgrounds in Rensselaer, Indiana on Saturday, April 15th from 9-3. All are welcome! So if anyone is interested in learning more about raising and showing meat goats, you don’t want to miss this event. Click here to see the schedule for the day and where to register. Although the deadline was yesterday, there may still be a chance to attend, so contact them today!

Brandon Peacock, one of our sales members who works with producers, will be at a booth at the conference to provide information about processing and marketing through This Old Farm’s food hub. So, if you go to the conference, make sure to find Brandon and introduce yourself. We would love to meet new producers and work with you to provide a market for your goat meat products.
