As we hustle and bustle towards the Christmas day of celebration, may we all remember the reason we celebrate. It is the gift of grace and forgiveness that I am most thankful for this time of year. I need to be reminded. If you are anything like me, you might be burning the rope at each end trying to be ready to celebrate with those we love. By doing so we become short on patience for those in the service industries that we so love. Whether it is your butcher, your candy store clerk, or your restaurant server, remember this season is extra stressful for all and extend Christ’s gift of grace with every transaction. Smile, say Merry Christmas and be ready to feel the blessing of the season embrace us all.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good week!
Jessica
Such a good reminder. We all seem to have big expectations for ourselves and others. A smile and thank you makes both parties feel good, not just at Christmas, it’s the right thing to do. It’s time we all returned to doing the right and kind things.
