We’re very excited to be hosting a benefit for Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry on Saturday afternoon May 18th. We’ve worked extensively with Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry over the last several years, helping to facilitate the donation of meat to hunger relief agencies such as food banks and soup kitchens. Expanding access to good food is central to us at This Old Farm, and we believe that helping to support Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry is an excellent way to do this.
Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry is a non-profit started by Debra Treesh in 2011. Rather than distributing the food themselves, they aid by providing the funds and organizational assistance to butchers and hunger relief organizations. If a farmer or hunter chooses to donate livestock or game, whether they pick the specific agency to donate it to or have This Old Farm and Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry decide, Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry picks up the bill and a local hunger relief agency picks up the meat.
Tickets are currently available for This Little Piggy goes to Market at This Old Farm. Tickets are $60 for adults, $30 for kids 12 and under, and include a four-course local meal, a drink at a cash bar, a food preparation demonstration, live music, and more! The best part, all proceeds will go to Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry to help provide good food to those in need. Ticket supply is limited, so call us at 765-324-2161 to reserve yours today!
