This weeks feature is the all American Burger. Our Sampler basket will include Ground Beef or Pork Patties along side a nice array of summer veggies. In fact our in store special is 10% off all Patties, both beef and pork. Our guarantee to you is that our beef is never given antibiotics, growth implants, or animal proteins. Beef is an herbivore and meant to eat green pastures so that is what we ensure. Pasture fed beef, dry aged for tenderness has all the good stuff with none of the bad. Our pastured pork is raised outside with access to good greens just the way God designed. Nothing makes an easier dinner than grilling hamburgers or pork burgers, just add a little salt and pepper. They cook just fine from frozen. We always encourage you to keep hamburgers a bit pink on the inside for the best, juiciest burger. Enjoy the best by eating pasture based meats!
Just in case that cabbage from last weeks sampler basket is still hanging out in your fridge I thought I’d pass on my favorite slaw recipe.
1 cup sour cream or yogurt
1/2 cup mayonaisse
2 tsp turbinado sugar or honey
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp salt (We use Redmonds salt)
1/4 tsp pepper
1 head of cabbage, shredded
2 small onions, chopped
A food processor makes quick work for making cole slaw. Shred the cabbage and onions. Mix the dressing ingredients first then mix in with the cabbage and onions. I like to make a big batch and have it for the whole week.
