A long standing debate has gone on within the walls of our processing facility. We have men and women working hard to turn out good food on a daily basis. They work within new walls but in a very old trade. That of Butchering!
Is their a difference between a Meat Cutter and a Butcher? There certainly is! A Butcher starts at the beginning, while a meat cutter takes over after slaughter and aging is complete. This is an important distinction for us at This Old Farm because we stand behind 100% traceability. The only way to know the farmer that raised the livestock is to be involved in the slaughter. Slaughter in a humane fashion is a very necessary part of Good Food. Do you really know where your meat is coming from? You can if you support This Old Farm and the Butcher’s that work to put out Good Food, start to finish!
