One of the cornerstones at This Old Farm is education. We want to learn as much as possible from people in our network and want to pass relevant info on to our partner farmers. Sometimes we find programs or events that we just need to share with you….This year we were given the opportunity to give out 10 scholarships to the Purdue “Beef Basics Program” virtual workshop. You can find more information here: https://www.purdue.edu/newsroom/releases/2021/Q4/purdue-extension-sets-virtual-program-for-beef-producers.html This is a great resource for new farmers and its free to 10 people. Please contact us if you are interested.
But that’s not it! Through our partnership with Routes to Farm, we are offering a $500 scholarship to the MOSES (Midwest Organic & Sustainable Education Service) Conference. This is great opportunity to network and learn more about organic farming methods. $500 covers the conference admission fee as well as some lodging. Please contact our office if you are interested. https://mosesorganic.org/conference/
Also, we are now booking livestock appointments next month! That’s right, we need your help spreading the word to farmers, that we are current on our schedule and looking for animals to fill spots so we can make GOOD MEAT! Give us a call at (765) 324-2161
