Construction has begun. We are excited about the new retail space that we are adding to our facility. Please be patient with us during the transition. The driveways will be rerouted and parking will be limited until the new parking lot is complete. The new space will have a fresh meat counter and more products and services to better serve you!
We have 2 new staff joining our team on the Harvest Floor! Jason Potts is coming in as Stunner and Humane Handling Auditor and Jacklynn Smith will be our Barn and Records Manager. Jason graduated from Purdue with a BA in Law and Society two years ago after spending 4 years as Patrolman in the US Air Force Security Forces. Jacklynn recently graduated from University of Findlay with a BS in Animal Science and has worked with livestock extensively. Please welcome both to our team!
These two positions will help the harvest floor run more smoothly and allow Lucas Roosa, our Farm to Fork Manager, to transition to Facility Management and Outside Sales and Development. Lucas enjoys traveling and teaching about sustainable agriculture and has his passport ready to leave for Meta, Colombia this Sunday for two weeks to provide technical assistance to farmers who need support in developing practical, sustainable methods to promote a local food system approach as a part of Purdue University’s International Programs in Agriculture.
Looking for someone to butcher and dress some of my chickens and will also have turkeys and ducks to butcher a little later. Do you do this? And can you tell me what the charge per chicken would be? Whole, not cut up.
Thank you, Kathy Snoeberger kmcsnoe77@tds.net
