This Old Farm will once again be an active participant in Indiana Small Farm Conference by offering the 2016 Livestock Tour on March 3. This tour will include This Old Farm’s meat processing facility located in Colfax, Indiana and local farms affiliated with their operation.
This Old Farm was first started in 2000 as a diversified 88-acre farm, and expanded to include a meat processing facility that takes in livestock from over 150 local farms through a farm alliance. Their USDA-inspected facility offers custom processing for beef, pork, lamb, goat, and poultry. They also offer nitrate free pork cures, dry aging, and can process certified organic livestock. The tour will start at 9:30 AM EST at This Old Farm, and continue on to two local farms that have diversified into beef, pork and poultry operations. Tour is limited to 35 people. Participants will be driving to each location. Lunch is provided.
