This afternoon, I talked with Kelsey Vergin from the Wallace Center working with Pastured Project out of Illinois on a project sponsored by Food:Land:Opportunity funded by the Kinship Foundation to assess the capacity of pastured livestock in the Midwest. Wow, that was a mouthful! Mainly it is a mouthful because there are many Non Profit Organizations looking into the viability and growth capacity in the natural food marketplace as it is just right for the environment and what you do matters to many! This type of survey affords me the opportunity to look both backwards and to dream forward. One question she asked was in regards to how we get our information out to other farmers and of course word of mouth is the best way to find new farmers. We love farmers and always want to know more!
While we always offer a 5% farmer referral, this month tell your colleagues to book with #Referafarmer and give us your name and we will put a 10% discount on your next processing bill.
This holiday season we are very thankful to know you and appreciate you spreading the word for us!
